I can’t believe you beeped out Dick Van Dyke! Nice list, though- it tells a lot about our society.
the old blog system had user submitted posts which automatically had a word censor… I just never caught it when it was submitted since the names were so far down the page. now fixed.
its funny that dr. phil is 194th when Oprah is 1st
Oprah shouldn’t be first Elvis should !
What? No Bing Crosby? Who was the dominant figure in music and movies for two decades? How short-sighted!
I CAN’T BELIEVE THE GREATEST ENTERTAINER OF ALL TIME AND THE BIGGEST POP STAR OF THEM ALL IS NO WHERE NEAR THE TOP IF HES ON THE LIST AT ALL YOU ALL FORGOT MICHEAL JACCKSON WTF?????
tiffany, he is listed as #10 you dumb bitch, and why is batman so far away from superman??
Man fu** Oprah why is she number 1 and how come batman is all the way down in 158.
Oprah ahead of Elvis, The Beatles and Michael Jackson who are easily number 1,2 & 3 respectively.
Let alone however Tom Cruise, Michael Jordan and Madonna topped them.
Winona Ryder should be MUCH higher up. Everybody knows who she is. Her films are timeless.
when it comes to icons, Elvis is the definition of icon. His hair, sideburns, clothes, talk, house, shoes, and movements are often copied and never duplicated. The most iconic singer or entertainer ever and probably the most famous American of all time!
To Clark Jones.
Elvis is not the most famous American of all time. It Michael Jackson idiot. Nobody is more famous than him except for Jesus Christ. Michael Jackson is the icons of all icons. He changed radio formats, music videos, elevated dance and live performances and turned American pop culture global while inspiring a generation of musical talents. Elvis was only great in his era and time. Stop kidding yourself buddy.
Were is John Waters?
first off this list is half bias half racist let me explain why. Is Michael Jackson really number 1o REALLY! the man who open the door for African Americans musically. A man idolized by millions and millions of all races. A man who was crucified like Jesus by the way should be number 1 but anyways he invented press tabloids etc. before Michael Jackson name me anybody who was talked about followed photographed more than that man HUH! people who think Michael Jackson should be number ten is either racist or just hate him due to them fake ass rape allegations Jesus Christ should be number 1 and Michael Jackson 2 there also missing MLK, Malcomm X, Mark Twain, Mike Tyson, Tim Tebow, Bo Jackson, Kobe, Lebron, Shaq, George Burns, Cary Grant, and mind you am a black man from the hood with braids am not racist am not bias am just fair and there are so many I mean so many more that should be on this list Reese Witherspoon, Sting, Justin Timberlake really come on now
hi, first of all.
1. Vladimir putin opened up SOOOO many doors musically for all of the united kingdom!!!! u dum dums!! XD
hiHI. HALLO. 1st of all, peeple of the Werld, wat about VLADIMIR PUTIN?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! X~D.
u dum dums. plz comment back. I want your opinions. allllll of them.
I agree with Cynthia M. and spain. Michael Jackson should be at the top of the list. He literally changed music and entertainment in general. He, unfortunately, was treated sooo unfailry and unjust. Believe the shit you want, but the truth is there and will stand the test of time. He had vitiligo, had no more than 3 surgeries and is innocent(if not, hate on someone else). Anyway, I digress, I can tell you, he is definitely the most known, his dance moves, voice and fashion sense is easily recognisable, and he is the most famous man. So, he should be top 3.
