According to TMZ, Demi Lovato has signed a deal to be a judge and mentor on the second season of ‘The X Factor’. The singer and actress will be in New York City on Monday (May 14) to announce she’s joining the show during the FOX Up Fronts. The 19-year-old will reportedly be joined in the Big Apple by Britney Spears, who will also be introduced to the ‘X Factor’ team that includes Simon Cowell L.A. Reid.
Maroon 5 debuted their new single ‘Payphone’ featuring Wiz Khalifa live on the hit NBC show ‘The Voice’. The song is now available on iTunes and is the first track to surface from the band’s upcoming fourth album ‘Overexposed’, due out June 26th. The album was executive produced by Max Martin (Katy Perry, Pink, Britney Spears) with additional tracks produced by Benny Blanco (‘Moves Like Jagger’) and OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder. The band began writing and recording the album during their most recent world tour. ‘Overexposed’ features 12 new songs, including the new single ‘Payphone’, featuring Wiz Khalifa, ‘One More Night’, and the ballad ‘Beautiful Goodbye’.
‘Overexposed’ is available for pre-order now on iTunes and will be released in multiple formats, including CD, digital download, and a deluxe edition including vinyl, postcards, and a T-shirt. Maroon 5 is also releasing a special Songs About Jane 10th Anniversary re-issue on June 5th, which will feature demos, unreleased material, videos and more.
Madonna and Britney Spears had an exchange on Twitter after Spears complimented the Material Girl for her new album ‘MDNA’. Madge responded by inviting Britney to to a sequel of their 2003 MTV Video Music Awards kiss. Read the full exchange below:

Inglewood’s Sabi is giving fans a look at her ‘Wild Heart’ with her Mike Mahil-directed debut video. The song surfaced online last summer spawning a Zeds Dead dub-step remix and received a boost in notoriety after being used in the trailers for E!’s ‘Kim & Kourtney Take New York’ reality TV series.
‘Wild Heart’ comes on the heels of a successful 2011 for Sabi with features on Cobra Starship’s ‘You Make Me Feel’ and Britney Spears’ ‘(Drop Dead) Beautiful’, joining the latter and Nicki Minaj on their Femme Fatale tour. Look out for Sabi’s debut album coming this fall.
In celebration of their annual ‘Sex & Music’ issue and Bruno Mars, the tenth man to grace the cover of Playboy, the magazine hosted a celebration in classic Hollywood fashion at the famed Playboy Mansion Tuesday night in Los Angeles. Attendees included Britney Spears, Cameron Diaz and Chris Martin were on hand as Bruno and his Hooligans performed a mash-up of hits, covering everything from Michael Jackson’s ‘Dirty Diana’, to Police’s ‘Roxanne’, and even Ginuwine’s ‘My Pony’.
Parade magazine spoke with Victoria Justice in a Q&A, asking the ‘Victorious’ star about if she always wanted to be an entertainer, the best gift a fan has given her, the progress on her debut album, celebrity crushes, her first movie ‘Fun Size and if she learned any lessons seeing the mental health issues with Britney Spears and the teen pregnancy of Brit’s sister Jamie Lynn when starring with Jamie Lynn on ‘Zoey 101′.
“It’s different for different people. No one’s the same, no one has the same upbringing, the same situation,” the 19-year-old said. “I think you have to find your own path. I grew up with parents who have always been really supportive and raised me with a really good head on my shoulders and who keep me grounded. I think I am most thankful for them because of that and always believing in me. At the end of the day, I am going to make my mistakes and learn my own lessons. Hopefully not learn the hard, hard way, but you never know what is going to happen. But I think I have a pretty good head on my shoulders right now.”

JoJo has just unveiled a brand new remix of her single ‘Disaster’, accompanied by a revamped, extended version of the original video for the song. The track was remixed by DJ Kue, who’s offered up official remixes for the likes of Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson, and Rihanna.
“I’m excited to present to you the DJ Kue version of my ‘Disaster’ video,” JoJo said. “I love this remix and hope you will enjoy it too.” The song is one of five remixes that will be featured on a new EP due out on March 6th. JoJo’s new album, ‘Jumping Trains’, is due this Spring.

Last night’s premiere of ‘The Voice’ on NBC featured Christina Aguilera encountering a former Mickey Mouse Club castmate, who auditioned on the program with a cover of ‘Trouble’ by Ray Lamontagne. Aguilera at first didn’t seem to recognize the singer even after he said his name, but eventually made her way backstage to catch up with the 36-year-old. After greeting Tony, his wife Rachel and son Liam, Aguilera confessed a secret from another Mickey Mouse Club member, Britney Spears. “I remember Britney had the biggest crush on you. She won’t mind me saying that,” Christina enthused, though it was apparent the wife wasn’t as excited to hear the revelation. Watch his ‘Trouble’ performance below.
Up and coming pop star Guinevere has been tapped as the support act for Nick Carter on his upcoming tour. The singer-songwriter will join the Backstreet Boys member in late January/February on American solo shows across the U.S. The full list of dates are below. Guinevere will also embark on a U.S. club tour in early 2012.
The 20-year-old’s first single, ‘Crazy Crazy’, produced by Cirkut (Ke$ha, Britney, Taio Cruz, Jessie J), debuted on the Billboard Dance Chart in the top 40, above Britney Spears and David Guetta’s new singles.
Guinevere’s debut solo album, due in 2012, includes tracks with other heavy hitting producers such as Ari Levine of The Smeezingtons (Bruno Mars, B.o.B., Eminem), Illangelo (The Weeknd, Drake, Snoop Dogg) and Arthur McArthur (Big Sean, Drake, Dr. Dre).
