Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo grabbed lunch with friends while in Miami Beach on Thursday (February 4). The couple were in town to host the Super Skins kick-off charity party at Hotel 944 at Eden Roc, which ended up getting crashed by Joe Simpson, the father of Nick’s ex-wife Jessica. “Nick doesn’t know I’m here!” Joe admitted to partygoers as he entered the party early, according to a source who blabbed to OK! magazine. “Joe went up the elevator to the party before Nick, and tried to slip in unnoticed.”

I’m in NYC for my sis being Roxy in Chicago tomorrow night. I’ve looked forward to this moment since I watched her own the stage in London.
Everyone in New York come tomorrow night and watch my sister at her best!!! I’ll be there celebrating her return :)

Ashlee Simpson tells UsMagazine.com that balancing work on the set of her new CW show ‘Melrose Place’ and motherhood isn’t as tough as it seems. “It’s been good so far,” Bronx’s mom told the magazine. “For me, I wanted to do something that’s a bit more stable, and it’s been that, which has been perfect. And we get to travel. We’ve been to Paris, Japan, everywhere with my son. And he’s so happy and healthy. I’m very fortunate he’s on a good schedule.”

Star magazine reports that in wake of their report Nick Lachey’s relationship with Vanessa Minnillo was in trouble, the singer was spotted chatting up a Jessica Simpson look-alike at the Kentucky Derby Spectacular at Glassworks last weekend. Nick, joined by his brother Drew, quickly spotted curvy blonde and ‘Southern Belles’ star Emily Gimmel.
“She’s a dead ringer for Jessica; I thought Nick’s eyes were going to pop out of his head!” the witness said, adding that Gimmel “was obviously interested too.”
