Sugababes Busy Promoting ‘Wear My Kiss’
Amelle Berrabah checked in with fans on the Sugababes blog at MySpace on Friday (February 5), discussing their time in Barbados, meeting Gordon Brown’s wife, and what’s up in their schedule in support of their new single ‘Wear My Kiss’. The 25-year-old singer writes:
Hello!
So as you know, we had an absolutely amazing time in Barbados. Then since we’ve been back we’ve just been busy rehearsing the new single ‘Wear My Kiss’ and we’ve done a few gigs too, two in Liverpool, one in Newcastle for T4 and the Cervical Cancer gig at Koko, which was really good. We met Sarah Brown, the PM’s wife, for the second time, and she was really lovely. We were talking about why we were there, our thoughts on lowering the age of getting smear tests from 25 to 20, it was a really positive chat. We got to see a few performances too – Pixie Lott, La Roux, Paloma Faith – Paloma’s absolutely lovely, first time I’ve met her. It was just a really good day and we got a lot of positive feedback about the campaign. I think a lot of people learnt something new that day – when we found out all the facts about cervical cancer we were generally shocked, so it was good to be part of something that affects so many women and to help get the word out there
Today we’ve been at MTV to do some links and a bit of presenting. It’s been really busy but all good. I quite enjoy reading off an autocue, I felt like a proper presenter, you know, I start nodding when someone else is talking and look to camera occasionally, all that! So watch out for that on MTV!

The Black Eyed Peas singer and her bandmates took home Grammy awards for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with ‘I Gotta Feeling’, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Music Video for ‘Boom Boom Pow’.

Girls Can’t Catch Couldn’t Be More Pleased After First Top 20 Single
Daizy Agnew of Girls Can’t Catch blogged about the British girl group’s promotion of ‘Echo’ and how she felt for the song to reach the top 20 in the UK singles chart. Daizy writes:
I’ve realised that I get incredibly stressed out before a single release! Don’t get me wrong, it’s extremely exciting, but VERY nerve-wracking. We’re a very hard working band, and when a single is released our schedule is even more ‘full on’ than usual. I think it’s like queuing up for a ride at a theme park – the anticipation, excitement and nerves before you get on is insane! Once you’re on, the whole experience happens so quickly that when you come off you think ‘Wow, what just happened!’ and of course ‘I want to go again!’
We were gigging all weekend before chart day and on Sunday we found out Radio 1 wanted us to come in for a chat while they were doing their top 40 chart show with Reggie Yates. All the way there we were very excited! When we arrived at R1, there were fans waiting outside, some were for other acts also making their way to R1 and some were for us!

Tom Jordan updated fans on his blog at MySpace on Saturday (January 30), discussing release plans for his self-titled debut album and a tour with ‘Australian Idol’ season one winner Guy Sebastian soon. Jordan writes:

Yeww so excited for everything!
So I know its been a long wait but its all about to happen.
My album is getting released officially on the 26th of February, to stores and online, I can’t wait to get it out there and get your opinions!
I will be supporting Guy Sebastian nationally again in February. Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide! (check profile for dates / venues). I hope to see many of you there! Also after each show I will be signing and selling merch etc. So yeahh should be fun!
