A Leisurely, Listless Michelle Branch Had Her Moments

Rick Massimo of the Providence Journal reviewed Michelle Branch’s concert at the Ryan Center in Kingston on Thursday (April 29). He writes, “Branch’s health problems affected her voice, but not too terribly. She just managed to squeak out a few of the high notes in her latest single, ‘Til I Get Over You’, from the album ‘Hotel Paper’. Most of the time, however, she still had more vocal presence and guts on last night’s renditions of ‘Find My Way Back’ and ‘Hotel Paper’ than on the recorded versions. Still, she was clearly listless and never really connected.”
