Honestly, I think the word slut needs to be defined. A slut is a female who sleeps around with many men. What honest proof is there that shows Christina Aguilera is one.
And, yes, I am a huge fan of the talented artist who has her own, honest opinion and doesn’t let people walk all over her.
I show great respect for strong women who are not over-ruled by men.
It seems the rest of the world doesn’t. I find that rather sexist-and I state my reasons
*Women are constantly used as sexual objects in rap videos-but when in control themselves they are discriminated.
*If men can talk about sex, then why can’t we? We have every right to feel and look sexy, it shows self acceptance and if you’re comfortable with what your doing that is self respect.
About all this Britney and Beyonce crap, I believe what Christina said was taken out of proportion and made out like she was dissing other artists.
Beyonce is beautiful and she can hit the notes in the studio (she lip syncs on stage-sorry about the spelling!) She’s a great performer and what I believe to be a strong but vulnerable person.
Britney is an artist who is comfortable being sexy in photo shoots and in her videos but then denies herself and states that shes made out as a sexually exploit female in interviews.
Christina said “Beyonce and Britney are fake because they act as if they’re all innocent and then become all sexy in videos and photo shoots” What she meant and probably really said was the they aren’t being true to themselves if they act in that way.
There’s a fine line between honesty and being rude and I think KELLY OSBOURNE crosses that line. She makes the most uncalled for statements at the most, in-appropriate times.
Recently, at the VMA awards where Christina was the ‘Hostess’ haha she was introducing the next act and she made a rude comment about Christina and when Christina fired back she couldn’t take it-You can’t dish it out if you’re not prepared to get it back.
C’mon girls where in this together. Lets put a stop to this double standard bull crap, We’re all dissing people we have never met based on what- Videos, photo shoots, written interviews (which are exaggerated) or simply out of jealousy. Why be jealous for? It just shows your own insecurities. I have many of my own-I want to be Christina, after listening to her songs though and truly understanding the lyrics I’ve realized I’m not her and I’ll never be her. The mirror was my worst enemy because magazines show women looking one way and there’s nothing wrong with that, if you’ve got it flaunt it-to the people who don’t (or feel they don’t) don’t be mad at them out of jealousy. There’s something beautiful in everyone and it doesn’t always show on the outside.
There’s nothing wrong with being proud of your body, especially since the male singers are PRAISED for their sexuality. We are not in the middle east where they CAGE and SHAME female sexuality and cover the women head-to-toe. Women are slammed, attacked, and humiliated for their sexual decisions and sex lives. If you do anything remotely suggestive, “OMG YOU SLUT YOU WHORE YOU SHOULD BE KILLED!1111!!11one”. Cue angry mobs. Why are people so against something they owe their very lives to?
HUMANS ARE NOT MEANT TO BE ASEXUAL. SEX IS A NATURAL PART OF LIFE; WITHOUT IT, NO ONE WOULD EXIST. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH PROTECTED, CONSENSUAL SEX BETWEEN ADULTS. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH A PERSON, MALE OR FEMALE, COMING TO TERMS WITH THEIR SEXUALITY. GET OVER IT.
