Robert Knight, director of the Culture and Family Institute was in a huff following Britney Spears’ performance on the NFL Kickoff party at The National Mall on Thursday night. Writing on the conservative website Worldnetdaily.com, Knight blasted, “With the Capitol as a backdrop, Spears turned America’s front yard into a celebration of sluttery, complete with scantily clad dancers, crotch-grabbing and the stirring patriotic message: ‘If you want to party, just grab somebody.’ Meanwhile, down in Montgomery, Ala., the monument bearing the Ten Commandments installed by Chief Justice Roy Moore in the state Supreme Court building languished out of view, banished by a federal judge who found their placement obscene. Oh, not obscene in the legal sense, but in the Liberal America sense, where some things (read: acknowledgement of God) just can’t be out in public. Why, someone might be offended.” Read more.
