Aaron Carter Can’t Sing

Gemma Tarlach of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel was on hand for ’s Jukebox Tour on Thursday evening at the Riverside Theatre. Tarlach writes, “Whoever thought it would be a good idea to have him tackle some of the best-loved pop songs in history did both Carter and Thursday’s set list a disservice. Whether it was Michael Jackson’s ‘Billie Jean’ or the Bee Gees’ ‘Stayin’ Alive,’ the back-up vocals of Carter’s four-piece journeyman band put those of their boss to shame. In an R-rated pop culture where strippers grinding in music videos is commonplace and top 40 hits have titles such as ‘Pimp Juice,’ squeaky-clean entertainment is a welcome change. But wholesome shouldn’t be synonymous with mediocre.”

Hello! If I’m not mistaken, Aaron is going through puberty, so of course his voice right now will be so-so. Plus, I’m sure he’s got a lot of stress from the tour, his parents’ divorce, etc. Give the poor guy a break already!

Aaron’s voice isn’t fully developed yet… he’s only 15. but he is damn good

that little b!tch never could sing….why do you think he started rapping???? he lost his gay baby voice. and now that he’s “maturing”, I highly doubt if he’ll ever get a voice. he was completely manufactured…..even more so than Britney…. he can’t dance….write….produce…sing…..what’s left for him?

Everyone gets bad reviews sometimes. It isn’t a big deal. It isn’t like this is “proof” of anything. People shouldn’t take this so seriously. Aaron has talent both singing and with instruments. He has to have talent in order to sell all the millions he has at a young age and without as much promotion as a lot of other singers get. He is just starting out and is only going to get better with time.

You bunch of simple minded morons.

The only reason you’re saying anything about Aaron is because he’s Nick’s brother, and Nick is a Backstreet Boy and better than Justin. Grow the ***** up. His gay baby voice?! He was 8 when he started singing, he WAS a baby, of course he sounded young. The fact that you’re calling an 8 year old “gay” is interesting though. How about you pick up his last CD and switch to one of the ballads you ignorant moron? Listen to him actually sing (not rap, which he pretty much stopped doing anyway). “completely manufactured…even more so than Britney” yet Aaron was singing before she got her record deal, and he doesn’t lip synch, and plays instruments on tour. Seriously, just give it up or get a clue. Because you don’t know *****.

uh…anybody could sing on an album with the technology these days. look at Britney for Christ sake. I heard him sing live…..that’s what I’m basing my sh!t on. he was nasty. JUST as bad as Britney. and if he plays an instrument…then why don’t he join a band and play as a nice and QUIET back up guitar guy or something.

  9. Smile says:

No. This mostly applies to Aaron. There aren’t a lot of other 15 year old singers who are popular world-wide and have sold a lot of records out now.

I’ve heard him sing live too, like actually at a show. Many shows. He sounded great to me. I don’t know what you heard, but sure. And why the hell does it matter if he’s in a band or not? How immature can someone really be? Honestly, if you don’t like him, then you don’t have to listen to him, and you shouldn’t care how he runs his own career. I swear, I know I can be “mean” or whatever sometimes (as far as Popdirt goes), but I don’t sit and say “oh Justin should just go do this instead of this”. I don’t think that with the success Aaron has had, he really needs your coaching what he should do. What a waste of time.
