The News-Times caught up with Aaron Carter, who talked about his next album, which he says will mix rock with a bit of R&B. Aaron is getting help from his Backstreet Boys brother Nick Carter on the project. “The No. 1 thing is for me to go out and have fun, make sure the fans enjoy my new music and just have a good time with my life,” said Carter. “I hope the fans like what I do. I mean, I can’t be singing for 5-, 6-year-olds my whole life. That’s why my music has to change and I have to come up with a new style. My older fans are like, ‘What are you doing? You’re singing all this music for these kids and we don’t want to listen to that kind of stuff.’ I’ve gotta respect my older fans too. The fans are No. 1. Nothing will change the way I feel about my fans because they’re always there for me. The fans are the ones who read your newspaper and buy the records. The fans are the ones who enjoy this kind of music, so therefore you’ve gotta do the best you can to make them happy.”
