Jay Leno joked during his Tonight Show monologue on Friday night, “According to the tabloids, Maroon 5′s lead singer Adam Levine just dumped Jessica Simpson by text message. He wanted to break off the relationship so he sent Jessica a text message. I don’t know, is that a smart idea, breaking up with Jessica by sending her something to read? She probably doesn’t even know yet.”
