With little hope for a ‘Gigli’ comeback, Sony Pictures is pulling its midweek ads from newspapers and television and is expected to cut back next weekend’s plans, showbiz sources tell the New York Daily News. Theater chains are obligated to play the Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck starring movie for two weeks but are expected to turn off the lights after that.
