Describing the album, Aguilera said, “The whole vision for this record was to be really raw and real. Just really baring who I really am.” Freelance Hellraiser helped Aguilera come across as less sugary with his ‘A Stoke of Genius’ mix of Aguilera’s ‘Genie in a Bottle’ and the Strokes ‘Hard to Explain’. “I really, really loved it,” she said of the unauthorized mix track. “I thought it was dope.” And then, only half-joking: “That should have been how I came out with it in the first place!” Read more.
