Aguilera’s Latest ‘Needy, Overstated, Self-Indulgent’

Jim Farber of the New York Daily News reviewed Christina Aguilera’s new album ‘Back To Basics’, which he claims the singer “ends up sounding less like a legend than like Mariah Carey gone snoot.” Farber explained, “It’s a massively ambitious sprawl of a CD that, unfortunately, bumbles into becoming pop’s most groaning white elephant since Yes’ ‘Tales From Topographic Oceans’.
