Casey recounted the time when AJ was supposed to be seeing his dying grandmother as she revealed, “He’d fly into Florida from the tour to go see her. I’m not saying that he didn’t love his grandmother-he really did love her. They were very close, but I don’t think he knew how to deal with her illness, or maybe he didn’t want to deal with it. When I’d come over, he would only be interested in going out to strip clubs, getting @#%$ up and doing blow. He’d see his grandmother on the last day before going back on tour for maybe an hour, and I’d think to myself, What the hell am I doing with this person? When we first started dating he was really fun, but as I learned what a liar he was, I lost interest.”
