Al Green tells Entertainment Weekly in an interview after taping a Justin Timberlake TV special that aired on NBC last week that he’s still worn out. Asked how the ‘Let’s Stay Together’ duet happened, Green responded, “We’ve kind of been neighbors for about eight years. His mom lives where I live, in Shelby Forest, Tennessee.” His take on the *NSYNC star? “He’s a talented, young, aspiring artist- he’s gonna be just fabulous,” says Green with apparent earnestness, then adds impishly, “I’m not as big as he is; I’m just a little tadpole out in this big pond.”

Al Green is a legend. lets see where Justin will be 20 years from now
Al Green is freaking awesome. A musical legend as well. And for a legend to give a compliment like this to new solo artist like Justin is awesome.
It was nice of the Rev. to give props to JT. JT often mentions his fondness for Al.

Wow- that was really great of Al Green to say that- It’s nice to hear somebody isn’t blind to talent- but I still doubt Justin is bigger than Al Green.He was probably kidding then.
To all you Justin haters please don’t diss on Al green just because you don’t like Justin Timberlake or you think he is talented. Al Green is a great singer and I hate for him to get involve in a stupid battle suck as this. I’m so mad I miss the concert.
Wow…..Justin is probably the most likeable artist. everybody always has something nice to say about him. he’s such a big star……..and almost everybody loves him!
