Robert Kahn of Newsday chatted with Alanis Morissette who admitted to the New York newspaper that she prefers the town to Los Angeles. “I’ve spent a lot of time on both coasts, and I find that I feel the most comfortable here,” he said. “They didn’t have any superiority or inferiority complexes with someone in the public eye in a way that I’d experienced in the past. I’m constantly trying to deflect people putting me up on a pedestal, but in New York I don’t feel like people do that.”
