Amanda Latona And Sarah Martin

I recently visited popdirt to discover someone had posted and article about Amanda Latona being signed to simon Cowell’s ‘S’ records. This news itself was not what disturbed me. The thing that I found odd, was the comparisons made in this article.
This person pitted Amanda against Sarah Martin, and claimed Amanda has a loyal, long standing fanbase and support, while Sarah does not. This is untrue. Sarah does still have a large fanbase, and to be quite frank, the Amanda/Sarah comparison is very similar to the Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera comparison.
Amanda has catchy beats, and in a few songs, sounds exactly like Miss Spears, while Sarah is undeniably the more powerful voice of the 2. She also writes her own songs, and sings with passion. Sounds familiar huh?
It’s also been said that Sarah’s only claim to fame is dating A.J. McLean. Well, that may be what Backstreet fans know her for, but others know her for her amazing shows, her acting, and her past with Missy Elliott and Timbaland. What is Amanda known for then? Her current fanbase, like Sarah’s, is made up of…that’s right. Backstreet fans. True, she was a member of Innosense, but again, I had never heard of that group untill I heard A.J. McLean was dating one of them.
This article went on to comapre Amanda’s fansite, Amazingly Amanda, to Sarah’s All For Sarah. As the owner of All For Sarah, I can assure you that the site did not close because we stopped believing in Sarah. And it’s my hope that you all will be hearing Miss Martin’s name online again.
