During Chris Rock’s opening monologue of the MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday, he joked, “Now, ‘American Idol’ was the biggest thing in music this year by far. People love ‘American Idol’, man. But you know, on most shows, that have judges, you try to get experts. Not ‘American Idol’, they don’t care about no expert judges. They got Simon, Al Roker and Paula Abdul, judging singers. Paula Abdul judging a singer is like getting Christopher Reeve to judge a dance contest. It ain’t right! It ain’t right!”

well it’s the truth.
Chris Rock was NOT funny…he said about 2 or 3 things that made me laugh…this show was kind of boring…only about 2 or 3 good performance during the whole show…there wasn’t any big surprises either.
gimmeabreak what was your favorite performances? Beyonce was cool but I couldn’t see her microphone so I thought she was lip synching. Mary J and Coldplay rocked the house.
Beyonce was lip synching but she was good…i didn’t like her with Destiny’s Child but she’s really growing on me… Coldplay was great (best performance of the night)…the Madonna, Brit, Missy, Christina thing was ok but nothing special though… Good Charlotte was good too.
yo “gimmeabreak” Chris Rock was funny during everything, just because you are stupid and don’t understand jokes.
