‘American Idol’ Premiere Highlights On ‘Today’

'American Idol' returns for its seventh season on Tuesday night, premiering with a slew of awful singers. 'Today' co-hosts Meredith Vieira and Matt Lauer offered highlights this morning. Lauer told Vieira, "These tapes used to make me cringe until I saw you at the Christmas party doing karaoke and I realized it's not that bad." Watch the segment below the fold.
