The new season of ‘American Idol’ starts this evening on Fox and with the writer’s strike, there may be even more viewers. Fox News Chicago entertainment reporter David Viggiano offered a preview, featuring comments from ‘Idol’ executive producer Ken Warwick and executive producer Nigel Lythgoe, who talked about the show’s changes. “We want to do a section within the results show of where are they now, what are they doing now. What’s Ruben [Studdard] going to do, now that he doesn’t have a contract anymore. Is he just going to give up the business? I don’t think so, but what’s he going to do. Where is Clay Aiken now?
