‘American Idol’ producers have no interest in sharing the voting totals on the show to squash critcism that the numbers might be rigged, a feeling heightened after Justin Guarini was nearly ousted two weeks ago and last week’s surprise boot of Christina Christian. “People either like to vote for the front-runner or they vote for the underdog,” says Michael Eaton of co-producer Fremantle Media. “If we start giving people information … we’re worried we’re going to run the risk of skewing the vote.” The numbers will be shared at some point though. “We will reveal all the figures at the end of the series,” said executive producer Nigel Lythgoe.
