A posting on Avril Lavigne’s official website came in response to a recent comment from Anastacia regarding her new single ‘Everything Burns’ with former Evanescence guitarist Ben Moody. Anastacia had earlier said on her website, “Avril Lavigne originally sang the female parts to ‘Everything Burns’, but the record company wanted someone who could make the song ballsier.” The response at AvrilLavigne.com? “Avril didn’t record the song ‘Everything Burns’ with Ben Moody due to a conflict with her schedule,” the statement insisted. “It’s been stated that the collaboration didn’t happen for other reasons which are not true.”
