Antonio Banderas visited ‘Late Night with Conan O’Brien’ on Friday where he talked about attending the ‘Shrek 2′ premiere at Cannes and getting emotional while watching it. “The Cannes Festival is very, very tough, where practically the whole entire intellectual community from Europe concentrate in the Palais. You know where they put the movies… They can be mean, really mean. And — but the people applauded the movie, like, 15 times. At the end of the movie, with the music and everything, you know, I just look — I will sit down over here, Cameron Diaz was here, and Justin Timberlake was on the other side. And I started to get, you know, a little bit emotional. I just looked at Justin, and Justin was the same to me. So..” At which point Conan interjected, “He was tearing up, too?” “Yeah,” Banderas confirmed. “So he put his hand — we both hold hands there — [audience laughter] Cameron was in the middle saying, ‘What the heck is going on here?’ [audience laughter] It was fun.”
