The Sydney Morning Herald reports concerns are being raised over Delta Goodrem’s film debut in the comedy ‘Hating Alison Ashley’, with some believing the film is being rushed into production due to Goodrem’s availability. As the film nears production, no other stars have been announced, and the film’s director Geoff Bennett was hired on only six weeks before filming. “It’s a worrying indication of a view of what a director is there for. We have a very bad record in this country when a director is attached late,” said Richard Harris, executive director of the Australian Screen Directors Association. Read more.
