Miley Cyrus took part in an AOL Sessions, performing a couple duets with her dad Billy Ray, as well as ‘The Climb’ and ‘Full Circle’. She also sat down for an interview with her ‘Hannah Montana’ co-star Emily Osment.
Miley said in regards to a dream collaboration, “If he wasn’t dead, I would always want to work with Johnny Cash. If I could work with two different people, it would definitely be John Lennon and Johnny Cash, so I’m out of luck both ways. I would want to write with Johnny Cash and I would want to perform a song that John Lennon wrote because I don’t think I could write with John Lennon. He’s just too genius, and I would end up messing it up. It’s like re-doing a Beatles song. It’s cool, but you’re not going to do anything but make it bad. You couldn’t make it better. It’s already at the best. All you could do is mess it up.”
Asked about a band she likes that would surprise people, Miley cited Nirvana and said, “I don’t necessarily think that the music you produce has to be the music that you listen to. I like singing pop music. I just do. I like dancing. I love to act and sing and dance. You can’t really dance a lot to rock and roll. You can move but it’s not dancing, and I like doing pop music. Like I said, I really like Radiohead a lot. I love the Beatles. I’m a huge John Lennon fan. I was studying him in school this week, ‘Chapter 27’, I was studying him and I like rock and roll. Just because I sing pop music doesn’t mean I don’t like rock and roll.”
Video of the ‘Hannah Montana’ star performing ‘Full Circle’ and more at AOL.com has since been removed.
