According to The Mirror, the Appleton sisters have been ordered back into the recording studio with the dire warning – make this new track a hit or else. “Not making it to the Top 30 is just shameful. The girls were totally mortified. But Polydor isn’t giving up on them yet,” revealed a source. “They’re working with new people on the track and know that this is it. If it doesn’t make it to at least the Top 10 then they know it’s the end of their singing career as a duo. Since they left All Saints, the only interesting stuff about them were their love lives. Mel Blatt and Shaznay Lewis were always seen as the more serious musicians. But Nic and Nat have both settled down and hardly ever go out. They were such big stars when their were in the band and Polydor just can’t work out what went wrong.”
