Archdiocese Stops Ashlee Simpson From Performing
Us Weekly reports that Rev. William Maestri, Archdiocese of New Orleans, stopped Ashlee Simpson from giving free concerts at two Louisiana Catholic high schools that won a Clear Channel contest due to insurance and security costs. “We have a serious objection to that,” Maestri says. “The merits of Ashlee Simpson’s music is another issue altogether, and one I am not competent to comment on.”
