Are The VMAs Credible?

Having been a loyal MTV fan over the past years, I recently come to the conclusion that MTV has lost its credibility with me. The reason why I am saying so is that over the past years deserving videos have not been awarded the VMAs. Last year for an example, when Beyonce’s ‘Crazy in Love’ won best female video over Christina Aguilera’s ‘Dirrty’ video was the most requested video in 2002 and still today it remains one of the most requested videos in MTV history if not the most requested video. The same goes for Britney Spears’ ‘Hit me baby one more time’ being crushed by Jennifer Lopez’s ‘Waiting for Tonight’ in 2000 in the best dance video category. The VMAs have over the years robbed deserving atrists the awards and gave them to least deserving videos the same goes for this year nominating. ‘The Voice Within’ and rejecting ‘Can’t Hold Us Down’, ‘Me Against The Music’ for best choreography etc They also left out Christina Milian’s ‘Dip it Low’ for best female, best dance, best choreography and for best r&b video! However this is my opinion and I am sure some of you will be with me on this one. It is a well known fact that both Britney and Christina are the queens of MTV videos considering the fact that they boost the most requested videos on TRL and them being shunned by MTV is senseless!
