Australian Idol loser Paulini stays at #1 for the second week, while American Idol winner Fantasia makes her debut at #4. Anastacia debuts at #14 with ‘Sick and tired’, and Avril’s ‘My happy ending” debuts at a dissapointing #16. Kelis stays put in the top ten for the 8th week. Jessica Simpson drops 4 places to #19 while a poor Kylie Minogue’s ‘Chocolate’ drops from #14 to #22 in just its 2nd week. After 5 weeks Janet Jackson’s at #29 with ‘All Nite”. Britney Spears drops completely out of the top #50 and Beyonce’s ‘Naughty Girl” is at #48.
Now for the album Charts, surprisingly the Shrek 2 soundtrack takes the top spot. Anastacia’s at #11 and Avril’s at #13. Britney’s ‘In the Zone’ sits at a good #26 after 31 weeks. Hilary Duff’s ‘Metamorphasis” re-enters the charts at #45. Jessica Simpson’s at #29 with ‘In this Skin’. Beyonce and Janet Jackson are nowhere to be seen in the top #50, but they’re the only pop acts to be seen on the dance chart.
