ARIA Album & Singles Chart Update
Time for an Australian Chart update. Holding onto the #1 abum for the 3rd week in a row is Australian Idol runner up Anthony Callea with his Self titled debut. Garbage come in at #4 with their latest album ‘Bleed like me’. Jesse Mcartney sits tight at #7, whilst Gwen Stefani is #8 after 21 weeks on the chart. Former Neighbours star Natalia Imbruglia’s latest album debuts at #12. After making her debut at #13 Mariah Careys “Emancipation of Mimi” drops down to #20. American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson’s at #22. Delta Goodrems 2nd album ‘Mistaken Identity’ fails to live up to the massive sales of her debut by dropping #9 places to #50 after 23 weeks.
Now for the singles, Jesse Mcartneys ‘Beautiful Soul’ continues its reign at #1. Ciara’s ‘1,2 step’ jumps up to #2 after 7 weeks on the charts. Kylie Minogues latest single “Giving you up’ debuts at #8 while Mariah Careys ‘Its like that’ jumps up one place to #10. J-Lo is #12 with ‘Get right’ after 9 weeks in. Everyones favourite Britney Spears is at #22 with ‘Do somethin” after 7 weeks and Avril Lavignes Latest ‘He wasnt’ makes a debut of #25. Hilary Duffs ‘Someones watching over me’ is at #33 and Lindsay Lohan is at #36 with ‘Over’ after only 4 weeks.
This weeks club chart is mostly filled with Dance acts, except for 50 cents ‘Candy shop’ at #19 and Mariah Carey following at #20.
