TRL: Is that something you have to get worked up to pull off?

Britney: Actually, I have an amazing stylist. She comes in, and he's like, hey, here it is. But you know what? That one there was a lot of feathers and stuff like that, and you kind of want to be, okay, I'm going to be goddess now. You kind of do have to go through the phase of, here i go.

TRL: Transformation. Here you're chilling, you got your jeans on, and bam, you're on the stage there with the whole arrangement.

[ Cheers and applause ] Kind of crazy. Another thing I caught on the weekend which is kind of on a different note and I was shocked to see it because i only heard nice things coming out of your mouth about christina. But she rips into kelly osbourne and beyonce and you saying you had to kiss madonna on the vmas because you needed a gimmick. She said these people aren't artists. They're just fake and superficial. Boo B.

Britney: But didn't she kiss her, too?

TRL: Right.

Britney: She kissed her, too. Everyone's like they want some form a gimmick, I'm like, I'm just doing my job. The media, they're the one that interpret it that way. I'm just doing what i do.

[ Cheers and applause ] And if they want to interpret it and misconstrue it in their way, let them misconstrue it.

TRL: How do you respond to christina, though? Because that's kind of like a personal pot shot?

Britney: I don't want to say anything about her.

[ Cheers and applause ] No, no, no, no, she has an amazing voice. She's an amazing girl but she says things sometimes are are kind of rude. And i don't --

TRL: Blocking traffic.

TRL: It's all because you're dropping your new album "in the zone" today.

Britney: Exactly.

TRL: And especially after, like, all the hype and all the buzz leading up to it. It must be nice to just have it out finally.

Britney: It's surreal. I've been working on this for a while. And it's -- it's finally coming out. And it's like, whew! You know what i mean? I feel like this relisa, release, but it's amazing. I'm so nervous.

TRL: Why?

Britney: It's my baby. I thought out who i wanted to work with and I tried to put my heart and soul into it. So of course, you're going it be a little bit more -- you know what i mean?

TRL: You can take a lot of pride because i heard you co-wrote a lot of songs on the record.

Britney: Yes.

TRL: Definitely a personal album. And lot of the songs -- some of them are called "breathe on me," "the hookup." How much of the self- proclaimed geek britney is on as opposed to the god jess.

Britney: What was the question?

TRL: So much noise. We're trying to have a conversation here.

[ Cheers and applause ] I'm wondering how much of the self-proclaimed geek britney is on the album as opposed to like the performer, self-assured britney?

Britney: I think there's a combination of both. I really think you definitely have humble sides to yourself, unlike heartbreak songs that make you a little bit more vulnerable. And then there's definitely the other songs that really just, you know, here i am, the goddess stuff.

TRL: Nice. Have have you the whole array on the record. On the song "every time," you sing "please forgive me. My weakness caused you pain. And this song is my sorry." Was it harder or easier to write those personal lyrics?

Britney: I think it's --

TRL: It's kind of cathartic, right.

Britney: Yeah, i think it's very therapeutic for to you say what you want to say. Every time i sing it's like therapy. It's a cool song for me.

TRL: And no flat chair for it. You don't have to sit on a couch .

Britney: No.

Britney: Exactly.

TRL: Nice. Well, you've been working around the clock to promote the album. And we here at "trl" have recognized all the effort that you've made. So we want to hook you up. You are going to get that now, a second. First, we're going to get get to thisthis video, day 47 for this one. Couldn't retire -- could retire if you don't keep it in the top 10. Britney: It's all good, though, because if it wasn't for them, I'm not here. So yeah.

All of times square flooded. For these two pretty ladies, tyra banks and britney spears. I'm one of the luckiest guys right now. You've got the pop queen, the queen of the runway. And we wondered kind of -- we're kind of wondering what turns you guys on. Lot of people want to know this.

[ Cheers and applause ] Believe it or not, this is not a selfish pursuit by me. We're going to give you a list of guys. You got to tell me what your favorite feature is about each of these guys. TRL: I heard he's the only one who can pull off the trucker hat, too.

Britney: Yeah, he has his own little image thing.

TRL: Tyra?

Tyra: He was a model.

TRL: He was? I didn't even know that.

Tyra: He talks about it. Like a lot of people that are models, which is most everybody in hollywood, don't like to talk about it.

TRL: I don't want to talk about my nude pictures that i did before this.

Tyra: You can kind of see the bone structure.

TRL: He's got the model look. Damn him.

TRL: Brad pitt is next, ladies and gentlemen.

Britney: I think he is so fine.

Tyra: You know how sometimes he just walks around in those paparazzi pictures and he looks like he hasn't showered in five days. But it still works for him.

Britney: I'm a complete gooberoo for him. I have a confession to make. I was in my car. And I have a navigational system. And I have star maps. And I shouldn't be admitting this.
