Checking Into The Onyx Hotel In Orlando

Review Anonymous writes "Monday night, I checked out the Onyx Hotel Tour starring Britney Spears in Orlando, Florida.
First of all, let me say that the show was surprisingly awesome. Not counting the not-so-impressive opening acts Skye Sweetnam, who has a great voice, but no stage presence at all, and Kelis, who apparently was really sick, so I didn't expect her to be that good.

Britney, on the other hand, was superb. Granted, she lip-synced half of the concert, I was still amazed at her energy and undeniable talent as a true performer. She completely wowed the crowd. She didn't stop entertaining for one moment.

When she did actually sing live, it was amazing. Unlike the popular belief that she doesn’t have a good voice, I could beg to differ. She may not be a vocal acrobat like Celine Dion or Christina Aguilera, but the girl can definitely hold a tune. She has grown as a singer and it truly was shown that night. She hit high notes I didn’t even know she would ever attempt to hit. And it sounded beautiful.

Yes, two of the songs could be deemed inappropriate for children, but they were not at all obscene. It was tastefully done. ('Touch of My Hand', and 'Breathe On Me') If parents weren't comfortable with their children seeing these numbers, it would be a good time to take a bathroom break. But at the concert, no one in the arena left or seemed to be upset.

Also, her sweet persona was so genuine and pure throughout the show as she spoke directly to the crowd, making it feel as if she was speaking only to you. She made cute jokes about how she might marry one of the male audience members if they were lucky.

Overall, I would recommend this tour to anyone who is in for a great night.

On another note, the celebrities that I saw to be in attendance were Paris Hilton and Nick Carter, Joey Fatone and his entire family, Dakota Fanning and her parents, and Shaque. Also, it was rumored around the venue that Madonna was there with her daughter, but I am not sure if this is true."
