Norwegian girls have little respect for pop idols like Christina Aguilera who promote themselves instead of their music and bank on sex appeal. A panel of teens whose reactions make up a post-graduate thesis in sociology at the University of Oslo had strong opinions about selling music with sex, magazine Fett reports.
Her study of pop culture and the sexual identity of girls contains a look at the reaction of 14-16 year-olds to the sexual content of current music videos, namely 50 Cent’s “P.I.M.P.” and Aguilera’s “Can’t Hold Us Down”.
