Ashanti Surprised By Mariah Carey

WENN reports Ashanti was surprised the first time she met Mariah Carey. “I was definitely always a fan of hers,” she admitted. “We’re on the same record label, so that’s how it (the tour) came about. I met her in Miami and she’s really cool. She’s so down to earth and funny, which I didn’t expect.” Ashanti is touring with Carey ahead of the July 1st release of her sophomore album ‘Chapter II’.
