Dan Aquilante of the New York Post caught up with Ashlee Simpson for a Q&A and asked how her ‘SNL’ lip-synching disaster affected her as a person and a singer. “I’m a stronger person now,” Simpson responded. “My band and my fans have stuck by me. It was a horrible thing that happened. It was extremely embarrassing, but I’m not embarrassed by it anymore. I’ve even laughed about it a couple of times.” The much-maligned singer added, “I don’t really care what the critics say. All that matters is what my fans think. They’re the ones who really listen to my music, and they’re the ones who relate to it.” Read more.
