Ashlee Simpson Stays Steady With No. 1 Album
Billboard.com reports that for a third, non-consecutive week, MTV chanteuse Ashlee Simpson finds her debut Geffen album atop The Billboard 200. Despite an 8% decline in sales to 263,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan, ‘Autobiography’ remains at No. 1 for a second week in a row. Her album has sold a million copies to-date. Her single ‘Pieces of Me’ also moves up 4 places which helps her crack the top 10 at #9 on billboards Hot 100. Ryan Cabrera’s guest appearences on ‘The Ashlee Simpson Show’ helped him own the chart’s fastest-growing track at retail with his debut single ‘On the Way Down,’ which makes a 52-44 gain.
