Ashlee Simpson To Perform On ‘Oprah’

Ashlee Simpson’s father/manager Joe Simpson tells ‘Access Hollywood’ that instead of appearing on ‘Saturday Night Live’ to atone for her lip-synching fiasco last season, she’ll instead perform on ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ this fall. “We are going to push `SNL’ back because we are doing `The Oprah Winfrey Show’ for one hour,” Simpson said. “(‘Oprah’) is going to be the first interview and the first place where Ashlee sings.” No date for the appearance yet, but it should be right before the release of Ashlee sophomore album ‘I Am Me’, due October 18th.
