Nelly Furtado, Alicia Keys, and the country’s own Kylie Minogue are cited as examples. Australia has a unique radio music market that prompted Tom Findlay of the UK-based dance outfit Groove Armada to say, “In Australia, you get to hear the whole gamut of music. Having a music policy that is not segregated or factionalized can only be a good thing. It means you know what’s going on across the board.”
