Australia’s Shakaya Sign Three Album Deal With Sony

The Courier Mail spoke with the girls of Shakaya after their big three-album publishing deal with Sony Australia was signed. The singing pair consisting of Naomi Wenitong, 19, and Simone Stacey, 24, will be opening for Destiny’s Child on their tour of Australia. Simone says the pair would rather not get labeled in a particular genre: “We’re trying not to label ourselves with a musical style but to get a different flavor out there that’s just ours.”
