The Miami Herald caught up with in a Q&A, asking the Australian singer songwriter about what fans can expect from his concerts, the intimacy that acoustic shows provide, if he had a desire to be a star, being greatly influenced by Jeff Buckley, touring with Maroon 5 and if he had been to Miami before.

“Those lads are actually mates of mine. I’ve known them for quite a while, and we have made a lot of music together over the years,” Ry said about opening for Adam Levine and company. “When my record came out, they asked me to open for them for a handful of shows, then some more, then more, then in Australia as well. And it has been a pretty amazing experience, playing to those big audiences on that grand scale.”

Alison Sudol of posted a message for Rio+20 at iucn.org, where the singer songwriter talked about her role as a Goodwill Ambassador for the global environmental organization.

“We know that the status quo is not working. What we need is deep-rooted change, a shift in social consciousness, where everyone plays their part in creating the sustainable world that we all want,” Sudol writes. “We are at a unique point in history – modern technology has given us the means to connect with each other on a global level, to combine our minds and imaginations towards creative solutions for the major problems our planet is facing, and to make our voices heard.”

Rio+20, United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on June 20-22, 2012.

Brendan James Buncearoo Concert And Interview

stopped by Buncearoo for a live set in March at the Franklin Performing Art Center in Purcellville, Virginia, where the singer songwriter performed ‘None’, ‘Nothing For Granted’, ‘Take The Fall’, ‘Emerald Sky’, ‘All I Can See’, ‘The Other Side’, ‘I Will Follow You Into The Dark’, ‘Green’, ‘Stupid For Your Love’ and ‘Younger Days’.

During the interview, Brendan talked about how he’s been performing for about a decade, how he always loved singing growing up, being on a short tour before a national tour in a couple months, being influenced by Van Morrison, Billy Joel and a lot of guys from the ’60s and ’70s, and being excited to play a bunch of new songs for his Buncearoo gig. Brendan added that he hopes to have a new album out by about July 10th.

“We all have our own separate styles,” Dan said. “Pat is definitely going to wear something with a hood. He thinks that’s his trademark, and we’re trying our hardest not to make it his trademark. Rob probably is definitely going to wear something revealing.”
