Fresh from being named as the New Artist of 2002 in the recently concluded Zone Choice Awards, Avril Lavigne has yet another tune to sing with as her debut single, ‘Complicated’, notched the No.1 spot in Zone’s year-end hitchart. The catchy pop-rock oriented tune stayed for 3 consecutive weeks in the No.1 position last year, giving the Canadian-born singer the biggest shot at the year-end top slot. Another big winner is Eminem. His single ‘Without Me’ closed in at No.3. Pop princess Britney Spears also had a reason to celebrate as 3 of her songs managed to land in the top 20: ‘Boys CoEd Remix’ at #4, ‘Overprotected’ at #17, and ‘Not A Girl’ at #20. To complete the top 10: ‘Back To You’ by John Mayer at #2, Santanna’s ‘Game of Love’ at #5, Justin Timberlake’s ‘Like I Love You’ at #6, Mariah Carey’s ‘Through The Rain’ at #7, ‘My Sacrifice’ by Creed at #8, ‘Dilemma’ by Nelly at #9, and Christina Aguilera’s ‘Dirrty’ at #10.
