Avril Lavigne Connection To Shania Blows Twain’s Mind

MuchMoreMusic had an interview with Shania Twain the other day where Avril Lavigne sent a video greeting, asking Twain if she remembered her. Three years ago, Lavigne won a contest that allowed her to sing with Twain on the stage of the Corel Centre. Although she didn’t actually say she remembered Lavigne, Twain was thrilled at the connection. “It’s blowing my mind,” she said. “I want to look up the video footage and send it to her. I’m so thrilled that (her success) happened — for her, but even for my own personal self, because it was my goal to give other young people the opportunity to get up on stage in an environment where they could blossom.”
