When Whibley got down on one knee and popped the question in California over the weekend, Lavigne happily said yes. “Avril has had a grin on her face ever since. She’s really excited,” a friend revealed. “People tag her as this miserable teenager but she couldn’t be happier right now. She told her mum straight away and she has been totally buzzing. They haven’t set a date yet but they want to walk up the aisle next year.”
