Avril Lavigne was in Victoria recently, shooting her role in the upcoming MuchMusicMovie alongside Vancouver punk veterans Gob. Lavigne told reporters that the role shouldn’t be seen as a new direction for the star. “This doesn’t mean I want a movie career,” she told The New VI. “I’m just doing it for MuchMusic.” Other Canadian stars set to appear in the film include Swollen Members, Tyler Connolly of and Theory of A Deadman. The MuchMusicMovie is expected to hit theaters next summer.

That rocks and I am so going to see it. I say it cool that she doing it with MuchMusic. And ONLY FOR MUCH. Like she said she can’t act. But I am going to see it. She will be good.
