Avril Lavigne Isn’t Who I Thought

Ever since her first video ‘Complicated’ came on TV last June, the first thing I said to myself was “Wow I got to know who that is”. And I was hooked from that day on. I was a very addicted fan. I looked on eBay all the time for autographed merchandise. I bought posters, her cd, etc. Even paid 180 dollars for her concert tickets and seen her in concert in April of 2003. I will say her performance was good.

But I was shocked to read about her dissing her fans. Calling them posers. Now me myself, I never went out and dressed like her, wore the tie etc because I’m 27. I dress how I always do but I liked her music. She reminded me of how I was at her age. Her attitude. But I didn’t think her attitude would carry over to her fans. Ever since I read what she said about telling her fans, or should I say posers, to get a life, I just have lost all respect for her completely. She has a huge fan base and mostly it consists of teenagers and that’s just wrong to say that about your fans. I guess she forgets that its not LA Reid or her company that signs her checks, its her fans. I only hope that she hits rock bottom hard for being so ungrateful and so pigheaded. Because without her fans, she is nothing.

Confident Avril Begins Work On Sophomore LP

July 7, 2003 – Avril Lavigne is full of confidence as she heads into the studio to work on her sophomore album. She tells RollingStone.com, “I think I’ve really come along in my songwriting. I really believe in myself, and I’m going to make a record that really comes from inside, from my feelings. I’ve had time to grow and become a better writer, a better guitar player, and I’ve learned more about studio work.”
