Avril Lavigne Misses Live Earth But Does Her Part
Carson Daly joked during his ‘Last Call’ monologue on Tuesday night, “I just got back from New York. I was helping out with the Live Earth concerts this weekend. Great concerts for a great cause. Save the planet. Incredible music, over 150 bands were playing, all 7 continents. Madonna played. Alicia Keys, Beastie Boys. Avril Lavigne, by the way, did not perform at the show, but she was doing her part by recycling songs from ’70s bands. She was helping out. Wow, I didn’t think any of you would get that. Awesome. That internet, you’re reading. That’s good.”
