Avril Lavigne Says Fake Starlets Are ‘Pathetic’
In an interview with Billboard, Avril Lavigne lashed out at the practice of lip-synching. “You know what? There are a lot of people out there today, who have become stars or famous musicians — I wouldn’t really define them as a star — with a record only because they have connections and only because they have money and for the wrong reasons,” Lavigne said. “And it sucks. Actually, I know for a fact there are some young female artists who don’t even sing on their own records and who don’t sing live. And that is pathetic.” Read more.

Although I agree on what she said about fake stars being pathetic, she’s just as bad as anyone else. She may not lip-synch (I dunno if she does, don’t really pay attention to her) but her vocals are tweaked in the studio.
You wannabee is pathetic. Ms. “I’m so punk”. Ya right. But Ashlee Simpson lips bad, can’t sing live, and got a record deal because of her last name, and Floptina is a screaming ho. That’s pathetic kind of.
She’s had help in the studio, just like everyone else. Of course, she can sing on key most of the time so she doesn’t need to be auto-tuned as much or have as many vocal tracks layered over each other to give her voice more “fullness”. However, anyone with basic recording knowledge knows she’s had a little autotuning and layering. I’m not talking about the harmony tracks, either… I’m talking about layering the same line of singing over itself to make the voice seem more robust.
Well, she’s right, but this is not a new concept here. Some people are in the music business and are making big bucks for the wrong reasons (which have nothing to do with good quality music and performing), and some are actually out there making great music as well as giving what the fans deserve. That’s just part of the business, and it’s not going to change. That’s why we have options to listen and like whoever we like.
oh no! its the battle of the “punk rock” girls. ha. as if…..anyhow, Advil just doesn’t know how to keep her ugly vampire mouth shut. she’s so lame. I wanna throw eggs at her bus when she comes here next month. haha…all part of my master plan to rid the world of such a horrid beast.
This coming from the FAKEST b*tch around. Not only her manufactured image and personality…but I dunno how about the lies she has told. Her NOT knowing how to play guitar yet pretending to play on stage with amps unplugged or her fingers above the chords never actually touching them…or the lies she told about writing her own songs which she later confessed wasn’t really true at all…and now she is acting like she plays “piano and drums”?! She is SUCH a f**king liar. She cannot play a damn thing, nor does she write her own songs. She has other people write them and she changes a word and acts like she wrote them. Her own damn songwriters busted her on that one. And to top it all off, her voice is HORRIBLE live. I would rather hear her lip sync. Her voice on CD, is so over produced. Listen to the CD version of “complicated” then hear her sing it live. She can’t even hit the notes on it. So I guess lying about who you are, that you write your own songs, pretending to play instruments you don’t know how to and having a horrible voice, is better than lip syncing. Ok Avril you hypocrite. Go back to playing your air guitar.
Yeah because now people realize how fake and talentless she is. As much as I dislike ashlee simpsons voice, she is about 100 times better than Avril. And not to mention, Avril has fake played guitar numerous times on stage and where is her comments on that?
Avril doesn’t even write her own songs. She lies and then her song writers talk to rolling stone saying they wrote her songs before they even met her. Ha that’s embarrassing. And go watch Avril’s Nickelodeon concert or many others for that matter, where her fingers are ABOVE the strings and she is PRETENDING to play guitar. Or with her guitar unplugged. Funny how you can make fun of someone, when you like a girl who is a manufactured, talentless compulsive liar anorexic named Avril.
What I found most hysterical was “L.A Reid signed me based on my voice.” Avril next to Britney Spears, you have the WORST voice in pop music today. You have NO vocal ability and you SUCK live. Even with your overly produced records they can only make you sound mediocre because machines can’t make miracles and make you have actual talent. L.A Reid signed you because you were a small town, sheltered girl from Canada who was easy to manipulate and mold into a skater punk. Because you have no backbone to stand up for yourself and come out singing country dressed a prep like you were all your life, you were told to become something you aren’t. She is so awful and their is no reason for her to be. She has no talent, she can’t sing, she is fake, she lies, and she is ugly to top it off. She is not a musician she is a poser pop tart.
Avril rocks!! Eh, Punk or not? Who cares..as long as she has good music..yeah she may not have the best voice ever but she’s cool and she doesn’t lip synch. Also, for the haters – be mature.
Ashlee Simpson’s voice was never better than Avril Lavigne.
