Blender magazine did a brief Q&A with Avril Lavigne and prodded her to admit the teen pop boom is over partly because of her and a few others, and wondered if the singer was gunning for any pop tart in particular. “I can’t answer that. My big mouth has already gotten me in too much trouble this year. But I will say that my music is different than many young female artists. I write my own music, I play guitar, I don’t let other people dictate my image. I dress normally.”
