Avril Lavigne: Some Of Those Girls Love Tabloid Attention

Avril Lavigne spoke with The Charlotte Observer and talked about her ability to fly under the tabloid’s radar screen. “I’m always trying to keep myself out of those stupid magazines because I don’t want people talking about who I’m dating and who I’m with,” Lavigne said. “It’s none of their business and that’s all they’ll talk about. I prefer people just think about my music. I’m sure those people who are all over those magazines are asking for it. Some are so desperate they’ll call a restaurant and say, ‘I’m going out for the day.’ I’ve heard from different publicists telling me about people they represent. I’m just like, ‘You’re kidding me?’ Some of those girls love it.”
