The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports people who knew insisted that Avril Lavigne was on the Mall of America premises, downstairs in her lux bus, at least 15 minutes before her 5 p.m. concert Thursday. But Lavigne started her seven-song acoustic set 30 minutes late. A handler for the singer explained the singer was aware of the bus strike happening in the city and delayed taking the stage to give her fans more time to arrive. Some parents weren’t buying the excuse.
